Online casinos have
become so immensely popular that land based casinos are
increasingly finding themselves having to open their own
online casinos in order to compete. With so many casinos
vying for the custom of online gamblers, it's hardly
surprising that various incentives are available to

On the internet you will see lots of roulette systems and the opportunity to make huge sums of money consistently by following them.
Here we will look at the facts in realtion to roulette systems.
Roulette systems using the past to predict the future
All roulette systems are based upon the fact that past data can be used to predict what the odds of future spins are likely to be.
Roulette systems are trying to predict the odds of success.
The problem here is that a roulette ball does not have a memory and every spin is independent of every other spin.
This makes it impossible for roulette systems to be of any use in predicting the outcome of future spins.
If roulette systems have no data to work with, how can you have a mathematical system at all.
Roulette odds
The fact that the ball has landed on black 23, or even 103 times in a row does not mean that the chances of landing on red have increased.
The odds remain the same there 50 50.
This is the fundamental flaw with any roulette system:
If past data is of no use in predicting the future a mathematical system cannot be applied.
Roulette systems play long enough and you will win in the end.
Some roulette systems work on the logic of increasing bet size after a losing bet until you win.
This is referred to as a negative progression System.
The logic behind this type of betting system is it assumes that in every session, the player will be able to leave on a win, if he plays long enough.
The most well known of these systems is the Martingale system.
In theory it sounds fine, but in practice it can be very expensive and does not work, unless you have unlimited bankroll.
Regardless of this a player would lose over time anyway but, the casino gives itself protection by restricting the number of consecutive bets on all roulette tables.
Roulette systems increase bet size when you are hot
Another method roulette system method of betting is referred to as positive progression or more commonly referred to as pyramiding, or letting a profit ride.
Players gamble more aggressively with money they have won, in order to win bigger paybacks.
The downside of these systems remains, the player needs to keep winning and the odds are always against this.
In our view if you have made some money bank it.
You can never beat the house edge
The house edge is there before a player applies a roulette system and it is there after he applies a roulette system.
This house edge means that over the longer term the house will make money.
The player may have periods where they can be up, but the odds are in favor of the casino longer term and the player is always destined to lose over time.
This applies to any game of chance.
There is no way the house can lose and there is no point in trying to beat something you mathematically can’t and this includes using roulette systems.
Roulette put things in perspective
If you want to make money the answer is no, as card games such as blackjack and poker offer you a far better chance of success.
If on the other hand if you want a fun, exciting game for entertainment, then roulette has a lot to offer and incidentally the odds are not as bad as people think, if you know how to bet.

With the college basketball season in full swing, Matt Fargo takes a look at three big games on tap that you cannot miss this Saturday. Saturday is BracketBuster day and while there are a lot of matchups that have absolutely no appeal, there is a handful that will not only be fun to watch but also have an impact on some bubble teams heading into the Big Dance. Fargo takes a look at three such matchups.
George Mason Patriots at Wichita St. Shockers 8:00 PM ET
The Patriots have reeled off seven straight wins and only one of their five losses has been by more than six points. Four of those losses came on the road, all by six points or less including an overtime defeat at Wake Forest. Three of their seven road wins have come against teams ranked 76th or better in the RPI so they are no strangers to winning big games away from home.
The Shockers were supposed to be in a rebuilding year but don’t tell that to the players. Wichita St. has only six losses on the season all against teams with an RPI of 30 or better. That might say something about playing big games but it also has four wins against teams in that same category, all coming at home. The Shockers have just one loss at Charles Koch Arena and that came against Northern Iowa back in early January.
George Mason has a tough defense that can handle the tough offense of the Shockers. The Patriots are allowing only 57.6 ppg on the season on 37.7 percent shooting which is 5th best in the entire country. The offense is not getting overshadowed however as it is ranked 14th, shooting 48.6 percent from the floor. Their +10.6 percent in shooting margin ranks fifth in the country behind Florida, Connecticut, Kansas and Texas.
Wichita St. is outscoring opponents by 10.6 ppg on its home floor while outshooting them by 6.6 percent. The defense only allows 38 percent shooting from the field so something will have to give against the Patriots excellent offense. Both teams come into this game ranked 25th in the latest RPI so only a complete debacle would keep them out of the big dance. A win for each would still go a long way.
Bucknell Bison at Northern Iowa Panthers 12:05 PM ET
Bucknell is no longer going to sneak up on anyone as the Bison have made a name for themselves with some huge wins over the last couple years. This team has reeled off 12 straight wins and two of their three losses on the season came against the likely #1 and #2 teams in next week’s poll, Duke and Villanova. Wins over Syracuse, DePaul and St. Joe’s look very good on the resume.
Northern Iowa certainly won’t be taking this team lightly as it saw what it did to Kansas in last years opening round on the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers are a hungry bunch right now as they have dropped two straight games by a combined four points including a road loss at Indiana St. by a point last time out. They have only two games left to try and catch Wichita St. and clinch the top spot in the MVC Tournament.
Bucknell snuck into the top 25 last week for the first time ever as it has rolled through the Patriot League without much resistance. With an RPI of 40, this is a team that could crash the Dance if it failed to win the conference tournament. A win against Northern Iowa, who has a current RPI of 32, would go a long way in that possibility. This will be the first Bison’s game of the season with a line.
Northern Iowa is 11-2 at home with both losses coming by three points against conference foes. The Panthers aren’t without their own collection of solid wins including victories over Iowa and LSU, the latter coming on the road. Both of these teams have faced the punches of the major conferences and are still standing so expect another battle on Saturday.
Northwestern St. Demons at Utah St. Aggies 10:00 PM ET
Utah St. rebounded from a home loss to New Mexico St., its first of the season, by blasting Idaho by 38 points on Wednesday. The Aggies have just three losses over their last 16 games, two of which came against New Mexico St. They are 11-1 at home while outscoring opponents by nearly 15 ppg. While no game is meaningless, Utah St. is more concerned about the WAC, where it sits a game out of first place.
Northwestern St. does not hail from the Big 10 as some might initially think as the Demons from Louisiana are the class of the Southland Conference. They have only one loss in conference action on the season, a seven-point setback at 2nd place Sam Houston St. While not many people have heard of this team since they are an off the board squad, seven major teams certainly know who they are.
The Demons played three lines games this season, going 3-0 against the number with an outright win against Oregon St. and losses to Iowa St. and Hawaii by a combined eight points. Northwestern St. also faced Missouri, Wichita St., Mississippi St. and Oklahoma St., winning the latter two outright while losing the former two by a combined 11 points. This team can play with the big boys.
Even with an RPI of 68, the Demons likely will not get an NCAA bid without winning the Southland Conference tournament so even another win over a top team won’t do it. A solid game could turn some heads but it won’t be enough to get them in. They will likely be more focused in this game but playing in Logan will be a tough challenge where Utah St. does not fold to anyone.

So, how do you know if you or someone you love have a gambling problem?
First of all it’s important to note that compulsive gambling is a psychological condition that makes people unable to control their desire to gamble. Many crave the feeling they have when they gamble and seek this experience on a daily basis, no matter whether they’re on a winning or losing streak.
Compulsive gamblers may start betting small amounts, but sooner or later start to wager higher bets in order to get the same feelings of excitement they had when they first started playing. Compulsive gamblers often feel agitated and restless if they are unable to gamble and can feel a strong desire to gamble when other aspects of their lives are weighing them down. Compulsive gamblers may also believe that gambling is the only way to pay off debts and keep believing that it’s only a matter of time before they hit the elusive jackpot. Some compulsive gamblers may find themselves lying to friends and families and in some cases stealing money or goods to pay for their gambling habit.
Not all compulsive gamblers will exhibit each of these qualities, but if you recognise just a few of these in yourself or someone close to you then it could be time to seek help.
Compulsive gambling is treatable and there are a number of wonderful organisations set up to deal specifically with this problem.
Gamblers Anonymous is probably the most well-known and widespread and is based on a 12-step program similar to that of Alcoholics Anonymous. Members meet on a regular basis to share experiences and listen to each others stories and you will find that there are literally hundreds of Gamblers Anonymous groups situated all over the world. Go to the Gamblers Anonymous website for more information (www.gamblersanonymous.com) or check your local newspaper.
Gam-Anon is another well-respected self-help organization whose motto is “serenity, courage, wisdom. “Their website provides a solid resource into the issues surrounding compulsive gambling and meetings are held regularly. (www.gam-anon.org).
The National Council on Problem Gambling is a government sponsored organization with branches across the USA. The website also has a lot of information which you may find useful. (www.ncpgambling.org).
Other countries will also have their own groups and organizations which may be publicly or privately run. Again check your local newspaper or phone book for more information.
Remember, compulsive gambling is a mental health issue for which there is help and support. If you feel that gambling is dominating your life in a way that is harmful or unhealthy, then perhaps its time to talk to someone about it.

It is very easy to grow bored when you play online poker. Although the game is much faster than its real-world counterpart there is a lack of external stimuli so it is far easier to lose focus. In the online environment it is just you and a two-dimensional screen. There are no chips to touch, no smells or sounds, and of course an absence of human contact. So, when not in a hand (and even for some players while they are in a hand) it becomes tempting to check email, search for that music file, take a phone call, or surf the net. Not only is this behavior going to destroy your poker bankroll in the long-term, but it’s also most unnecessary - good poker players spend this time “ghosting” their opponents, and don’t really have time for anything else when they play online.
Ghosting a hand requires a lot of creativity and an instinct for the game, but it can certainly be acquired over time. Basically, it entails guessing what your opponents are holding. You try to put yourself in their shoes. If they bet x amount of chips pre-flop, then checked the flop, only to push all-in on the turn when an Ace hit what on earth could their cards be? If you can ascertain those cards then you will have a huge advantage later on against that player. You have seen how she bets certain hands, and you also know whether they understand poker or not based on their betting patterns. The beauty of “ghosting” is that even if you cannot guess what someone is holding you still learn a lot about other styles and abilities.
Imagine if you confidently put a player on a huge hand based on the way they were betting only to see that they were betting middle pair all along. They surprised you and you were wrong, but you now know that the player is mediocre at best. You also know that they have a tendency to over-bet weak hands. You know a lot more about them than they will ever know about you. Does this translate into immediate profits? Not always, because poker sessions can be volatile and fortunes are fickle. However, if you also keep notes on players (and most online poker rooms provide this functionality) you will be in a strong position if you ever meet up again.
If you ghost other players’ hands, especially when you are not in the hand and your own emotions do not come into play so you can be very objective, you will improve your own poker in leaps and bounds. You will eventually notice that strong players are very unpredictable, and that their betting patterns shift throughout a session. The best way to learn poker is to play against opponents that are more advanced and experienced, and learning occurs through observation. You don’t have to be involved in the hand to do this, in fact as I have noted above it is preferable if you are not involved.
The next time you play online and have the urge to find an online recipe while you’re in the middle of a sit ‘n go you should curb that short attention span and make a concerted effort to guess the cards that your opponents are holding. You will put yourself in pole position to make a lot of money simply by noticing what the other players at your table fail to notice.

The tree of gambling is growing and its roots expanding day by day. While few decades before the tree was deemed as a weed and left unattended, in recent years it has received immense attention and nourishment from different countries of the world. This is mainly because of two interrelated reasons- the alarming rate at which the gambling tree is bearing fruits in the form of revenue and the its unfailing involvement with people.
At present gambling is legal in several corners of the world. It is lately declared lawful in some of the Asian countries. As a result new resorts that are open to all are built at these places. For instance the city of Cambodia has come up with the Ho Wah Genting Poipet Casino Resort that bills itself as the Las Vegas of the East. The casino offes all the delightful games such as B6 Baccarat, Mini Baccarat, Blackjack, Casino War etc. In the Indian subcontinent there are six casinos in goa out of which 5 are slots-only establishments. The one full serving casino of this place is an off-shore casino on atwinn engine catamaran, Casino Goa. It is a lifetime experience to visit and play at this floating casino that offers a bar, a swimming pool and a great restaurant featuring a multi-cultural cuisine.
One such similar yet unique experience is at the casinos of hongkong. The reason being the construction of Hong Kong casinos on ships, either in port or as casino cruises. However it seems that water and casinos share a good liaison for the only casino in Laos, the Dan Sa Vanh is located along the Nam Ngum Lake. Besides gambling the other activities at the casino include boating and golf.
Gambling is made legal and so there are around 15 casinos owned and run by ht e government in Philippines. Out of these the Fontana Resort is not for the local people of this place but only for the foreigners.
If you are looking forward to delight in the beauty of snow capped mountains along with playing your favorite games such as Caribbean Stud Poker, Keno, Money Wheel, Pai Gow, Roulette, Blackjack etc., the Genting Highlands, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is just the ideal place to hit. Besides being an acclaimed tourist spot, the Genting Highlands, by virtue of these casinos are quite popular in the gaming world.
Lotteries and lottery related games are quite significant and greatly relished on the land of South Korea. South Koreans have an immense liking for lottery games. This can be well assessed from the fact that South Africans are the pioneers of online gambling, they had introduced in 2002. Along with it a new lottery game which is akin to financial winner, the Sports Toto is a gift to the gambling world by South Korea. But this place is not all about lotteries. There are other forms of gambling too such as horse racing and cycling.
Though legalization of gambling in various corners of the world is at a surge these days, yet gambling should be done within limits. Addiction of gambling is extremely fatal to the life of the gambler and his family.

If you like to take a drink every now and then, leave your money at home if you plan to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your pocketbook, your wallet, and leave all cash, credit cards and chequebooks at home. Take whatever money you intend to spend on drinks, tipping and whatever pocket change you intend to lose and leave the rest behind.
Pessimistic? Not at all. Realistic more like. You may well experience a win after a boozy night out with your friends and be lucky enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a hot craps table. Hang on to that story because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink and gamble. The two simply do not mix.
Leaving your cash at home is a bit drastic, but preventative measures for drastic behaviour is relative and necessary. If you play to win, then don’t drink and play. If you can afford to throw away your money without a worry, then drink all the free booze your stomach can handle, but don’t take credit cards and chequebooks to throw into the mix of chasing losses after your drunken brain loses everything!
Let me take this one step further. Don’t drink and then jump online to play in your favourite casino either. I love to drink from the comfort of my home, but because I’m linked up through Neteller, Firepay and have credit cards at my fingertips, I can not drink and gamble.
Why? Even though I don’t drink a lot, when I drink, it’s definitely enough to cloud my better judgment. I gamble, so I don’t drink when gambling. If you are more of a drinker, don’t gamble at the same time. The two mix up for a ferocious, and costly, cocktail.
